This work is one I’m incredibly proud of. Very seldom do I have the chance to go all out with my work and create just, the best work I can.
I pulled out all the stops with this one. Over the last year I have been studying day after day, learning and applying new techniques and practicing as much as possible with each new project, and for this piece I set aside all of the practice and learning, and just went full force on applying it all.
This artwork is titled Sanguine Sonata, and showcases what I hope will become the definitive style of Ash Something Art official fine art pinups.
As far as how this piece came to be, unlike most of my Ash Something Art official artworks, this started as a commission. However unlike most of my commissions, the client gave me carte blanche to do whatever I wanted to within the budget he had available.
It was an incredibly freeing experience, and stands apart from other commissions because I decided everything about this with little to no input from the client; Meaning it’s entirely my creation from start to finish, and the client didn’t require any rights to the work; He just wanted a print of it.
