A lot to talk about here, but maybe not as much as in other posts.
To sart with, I have updated my Terms of Service to reflect my Generative AI Art Policy, and changed the wording on some portions for clarity. I’ve also updated my Rush Delivery policy to reflect the new pricing and options as of 12/26/23, as I hadn’t goten around to doing that.
Commissions Changes
This last month I started working on my art in a different way that I had previously; I did a large batch of sketches for commissions compiled on one PSD file, and have been slowly working them down.
I’ve done this to improve my workflow to hopefully start making faster progress on everything and get at least SOMETHING to show to clients who have been waiting longer than even I think they should have to.
I may put up a calendar or a page to show my current WIP commissions, so you can see where I’m at and a rough estimate of the wait time, but I’m not sure about that yet as I’m not always the best at updating those kinds of things or longterm schedules in general.
Patreon Changes
I finally got word back from Patreon around 3 days ago about how to make my page All-Ages so that I can start using the full functionality of the site. As it stands, I have to sweep through my posts and delete a few more that I thought were SFW but Patreon doesn’t consider to be, and I have to change some tiers around so that they no longer say/offer NSFW artwork as rewards. These are fairly small changes that won’t take me long to make, but my focus hasn’t been on Patreon this week so it’s going to have to be done sometime in February; This means that I’m going to be revising and revamping all of my Patreon tiers coming up soon. So there is no interruption or change in your service, I will not be changing the prices to existing tiers, only what I allow as rewards/perks on them.
Don’t worry if you lose some perks or functionality!
The entire purpose of these changes is so that I can review Patreon as an SFW/All-Ages creator that gives me more options to reward you, and to start a second account (or platform) that is 18+ specifically for people who want those perks.
In the meantime I’m also working on getting a subscription setup on my website that allows for my NSFW work to be showcased to subscribers, without the need for platforms such as Patreon.
Stream Updates
It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to regularly stream! I apologize for that.
As far as streaming has gone, in the past my workflow was heavily impacted when I would stream because my computer setup and internet connect just weren’t suited for it. I had to stop constantly to fix things, and the stream quality was terrible.
As of this last week however, I started streaming again with my new computer, and I have suffered very minimal technical difficulties or errors (except a couple that were caused by me and not my setup), over the span of roughly 24 hours of stream.
This means that I can resume streaming regularly!
I’ve been playing a lot this last week with the functionality of OBS, Twitch, Youtube and Picarto, and getting everything in order.
I did encounter a roadblock that everyone should be aware of before getting TOO excited (for the immediate future at least:
I cannot stream on twitch for the next three days.
This is partly my fault, but also partly Twitch’s fault. In December Twitch released an update for creators stating that they now allowed artists to draw nude artwork, so long as it wasn’t overtly sexual in nature. Unfortunately, some users abused this and made twitch immediately rollback this update.
However when they did so, I did not get another email about the change, and so yesterday I streamed an artwork that was nude, and got myself a 3-day suspension.
Now that the new policy is clarified, however, that will not happen again once my suspension is lifted.
This leads me to Picarto.
Picarto is a Germany based platform like Twitch that is made specifically for artists, and doesn’t have the same kind of strict content policy as other platforms. Because of this, I can safely stream the process of any NSFW artwork there, and I will be utilizing the platform for that.
This means that depending on the artwork or commission that I’m working on, you will be able to find me either on Twitch or on Picarto, and I will link on my social media which I am on, on which days, a couple hours before going live.
I can’t currently do this with Picarto yet, however once I’m back on Twitch all of my Twitch streams will be posted onto Youtube within a day or two after the stream has completed (the first few are already up for viewing on Youtube)
Anyway, that’s all for now!
Thank you all so much for your continued support, and even though January has been rough I’m looking forward to a lot of expansion in the coming months, now that I’ve started to settle into my new house properly!
