ToS Addemdum: Disallowed Content

Part A) What I will not create

This is not a suggestion box type deal. The following terms are iron-clad boundaries that I keep to with all of my art, regardless of whether or not you’re planning on using the work commercially or even if you purchase the exclusive rights to the art.

Just like with the core TOS information, by submitting payment to Ash Something Art you are agreeing to these terms, and any requests to change your commission to any of the following subject matter after the fact will either be declined. If a refund is requested after you attempt to switch the subject matter of your commission to any of the following examples, the refund will also be declined.

Ash Something Art should be for all intents and purposes be considered a Queer/lgbt+, Pagan-owned business, and therefore will not do any work that supports the further marginalization of already marginalized groups including Indigenous Peoples/POC, LGBT+ people, non-Christian/Pagan religions, etc

I do not create artwork featuring, or especially glorifying, Nazis or Nazi symbolism, or that of the KKK or any other racially biased organization.
I do not create artwork featuring or promoting white supremacy or NWO ideology.
I similarly do not create artwork featuring racial superiority of any race, including BNWO and Race Play kinks.
I do not create artwork that promotes the idea of any race as lesser, or can be used to denigrate, disparage, or further the oppression of marginalized groups.
I do not create artwork that promotes anti-lgbt sentiments, or features transphobic, queerphobic, biphobic or homophobic ideals.
I do not create artwork featuring minors, especially explicit/nsfw artwork.
I do not create artwork featuring any subjects in sexual situations that do not have the ability to consent, including but not limited to minors, animals, and the like.
To clarify this, I do no create lolicon, shotacon, bestiality/zoophilia, formicophilia, CSEM, or other such artwork.
I do not create artwork featuring rape, sexual assault, coercion, or any other sexual acts either implying or assuming the lack of consent.
I do not create artwork, especially NSFW/Erotic artwork of any REAL, LIVING person without their written and explicit permission to be depicted in the subject matter, as such depictions are fucked up and ALSO violate that person’s Right to Publicity, and ALSO violate “Non-consensual Pornography” and Revenge Porn laws.
I similarly do not create artwork of any deceased person who has not giving similar permission in writing- as a person’s right to publicity and likeness is protected by US law for as long as 70 years after their death.

I will not deny artistic services due to your gender, however if you are requesting NSFW art of any living person, I will require that you provide written consent of that person to be drawn as you are requesting, and I also require a conversation be held between myself and those people, in which you are not involved, so I can get their boundaries from them directly and make sure that your request fits within those boundaries, before accepting the commission.
I do not care what your relationship to the person is, as an existing relationship does not imply consent for what you are asking of me.

I do not draw any artwork that supports, glorifies, represents or can otherwise be misinterpreted to support: Christians, Christianity, Evangelicism, Catholicism, or any other Abrahamic religion, including Judaism, Islam, and so forth.
I will draw artwork that contains christian subject matter as long as resulting work and intended message/subject matter is critical of christian ideology, or brings to light the issues of Christianity and the negative effects they have on our society.

This list is not exhaustive and only currently covers subject matter which I have had clients request from me. I reserve the right to expand and contract this list on a case-to-case basis.

Part B) Things I MAY be willing to draw, but generally will not.

I have no issues drawing most subject matter aside from the above-mentioned subjects.
However, there are some subjects that I consider problematic and while I am willing to draw them, it strongly depends on who is requesting it, what the purpose of the art is, and what the intended message of the artwork is.

As a general rule, the intent of MY art is self-empowerment, which may branch out into the themes of personal sexual liberation and exploring fetishes through enthusiastic consent- and this exploration can go pretty far off the deep end as it pertains to fantasies my clients request.

Because of this, themes such as masochism and self mutilation, gore, consensual cannibalism, consensual necrophilia, and a wide range of other violent and generally not socially accepted themes, are all on the table for me if a client requests for themselves or their characters to be depicted in these ways.
Many of these themes and fetishes depict fantasies which the client/subjects would likely not want to go through in reality, such as permanent disfigurement, death, sexual assault and the like, but the distinction for me is the client’s own enthusiastic consent to being depicted in those situations- as opposed to those themes being fetishized and pursued by a third party with no relation to the subject they are requesting art of.

I do not draw Rape or other Nonconsent content, nor do I draw content in which any of the subjects of the art are unwilling, forced or otherwise powerless, without some clear implication that they are consenting or enjoying the situation/pursuing a fantasy..
I am willing to draw themes such as consensual non-consent, auto-erotic asphyxiation, and a variety of other fetishes/kinks in which the subject may seem to have no power within the confines of the situation, so long as their enthusiastic consent to the situation is implicit and heavily featured in the illustration through facial expressions, body language and the like.

Part C) Final notes

As a final note, I offer a service. That service is my artistic abilities.
However, as an artist, any art which I create is my voice. I will not use that voice to put themes and messages into the world that I do not agree with or believe in, myself.
As a further example, I am strongly against the flat earth conspiracy, and will not do work that supports Flat Earth or discredits science in this regard.

Anything I draw has the implication that I myself, as an artist, believe in the subject matter, whether I do or not, and therefore I will not draw subject matter that is contradictory to my own beliefs; and because of this I will not humor anyone requesting anything that I state here that I will not draw.
