Catch-Up Time, Coming Soon

For those of you who have been following me on other social media, you may already know what has been going on, but for everyone else, here’s a breakdown!

So, around July 26th, I got hit with a 60-Day notice at my apartment, and was suddenly thrown into chaos. In the coming weeks, I was pushed by the scenario into focusing more and more on finding a new room to rent than anything else; This meant that much of my normal online presence almost vanished, and I had to put a lot of art projects and such on the backburner.

By the end of the first month I wasn’t really worried yet, but I didn’t have a new place lined up despite putting in a lot of legwork; I was basically only getting responses from Phishing scams. So, starting into the second month, I had to pause EVERYTHING else, and only work on finding a room. Thankfully, things started going a little better, and I ended up finding a few rooms and having viewings.
However, this wasn’t actually as good as it good have been; The few rooms I did find either messaged me as I was leaving to go meet them saying that they rented it out, ghosted me and didn’t respond, or strung me along for months, making me meet them multiple times and still not letting me pay them and sign their leases.

It was all chaotic, and I had to request multiple extensions on my prior rental, however around October 7th, my landlord threatened legal action if I didn’t vacate, so I had to fast track the situation and rely on friends who would let me couch surf for a few weeks as I continued to work.

Honestly, by the end of october it was still looking pretty hopeless to me. I had $800 in cash that I was taking to every room viewing, as well as current bank statements, but it was like nothing was good enough for the people who were renting their roms out. It wasn’t until around the 1st of November that I finally landed a room, and it was incredibly sudden. I met the guy, I paid, I got the keys, and I’ve been slowly moving my stuff the last couple days.

I want to thank everyone who has continued to order commissions in this time, and very specifically my friends Noel and Eddie, who have been doing SO much for me to help me get through this situation, and I also want to thank everyone who has been so patient with me while I’ve been going through this. I’ve been trying to keep up with commissions but really, it wasn’t very feasible to set up for 8-10 hours at a time and focus on art while all of this was happening, so I have had a lot of clients basically paused for three months, and it frustrates me more than it does most of you, I’m sure.

Anyway, now that I’m set up in a new place, and I’m almost done moving things in (I even have my computer set up here and work-ready), I’m hoping to get back to creating, and consistent updates.
