Here’s another update about the changes I’m making!
To join the VIP Funpass, go ahead and follow this link!
Stepping away from Patreon and setting up a subscription here on the website is coming with a lot of work to get started, but it’s all going well.
Initially I was going to just go with The Ash Something Art Newsletter, but newsletter and subscription are terms that don’t sit right with me; I want this membership and your support to feel more like a community you are a part of instead of a service you are subscribed to
I tossed around some ideas while cooking a giant pot of stew yesterday, like a gremlin sitting over a couldron, staring off into the distance, and came up with nothing.
Then this morning when I was better rested and caffeinated, I decided that I wanted it to be called the VIP Funpass.

Getting this all situated is coming with more work than just my addled brain trying to be creative, of course.
Yesterday I reached out to all of my Patrons on Patreon and told them directly about the changeover, then I created a new database to track the commission credits for Members that’s a bit cleaner than the last one I was using, and informed everyone of where their accumulated credits currently stand since they’ll be rolling over to the new membership.
I also processed my first two payments, as well as figured out how to work out refunds for payments that have been processed incorrectly (Someone used the donate option instead of the Subscribe option for the VIP Funpass, which would have prevented them from accessing their digital delivery perks), and all of that went very smoothly.
I’ve put together a dedicated page for the VIP Funpass, so that it doesn’t detract from my current Commission Payment page, like it does now, and so it’s easier to link to on its own, and I’m going to be trying to correct prior links that would have directed everyone to my payments page instead.
I only have a limited time that I can work on this for the coming week though, as I need to get started on commissions for the month, but I should have more than enough time to work it all out and get it to function how I want it to.
Anyway, that’s all for this morning!
I still have to figure out the format for the monthly newsletter, and start planning some scheduled posts, clean up the social media accounts that I’m stepping away from, etc, so there’s a lot to do, but I’m very optimistic about it all!
While I’m getting this all up and running you can still feel free to start your membership; The only perk that won’t be immediately available is the newsletter, which I’ll be publishing the first official installment of at the end of the month!
